Happy Odie Day!
Periodically I will be celebrating random and bizarre holidays. I figure it can be an exhilarating and fun, somewhat, educational experience. Okay, this is not going to make you any smarter, but it is something useless you can tell your friends and family—they may completely ignore you, but it is worth a shot.
So, today we celebrate Odie day. Who is Odie? Odie:
Is a fictional character in the Jim Davis comic strip Garfield. He has also appeared in Garfield and Friends, two live-action feature films, and 3 CGI films.
Unintelligent and highly gullible are some characteristics that describe this lovable little pooch. Garfield was constantly giving him a hard time (i.e. pushing him off of something, making fun of him, etc.), but you know, deep down inside, Garfield loved his little moron.
Let us all bust out the party hats, confetti horns, streamers, and ice cream cake (preferably Oreo) for this long-tongued, adorable, yellow beagle. He may not be able to talk, but he is truly thanking us in his thoughts (the small brain will not interfere with that).
